Overview

This is a fabulous client based in Stevenage. This Company was established over 150 years ago and has over 145,000 members to date. They are passionate about their products and their membership community and therefore do not buy or sell anything they do not believe in. They are looking for a Stock and Equipment Controller to facilitate the tastings and events programme by controlling the stock in and stock out process for events. This isn’t a customer facing role and neither is it particularly desked based. It is very much about organising and ensuring that there is enough stock for each event, whether is bottles of wine or wine glasses. There is a bit of heavy lifting as you will have to move boxes and stock and ensure the vans are loaded with the correct equipment. You will be creating stock reports on spreadsheets and organising replenishment of stock. This is a hands on role which will require being away from home roughly 3 times a month but there will be flexibility around the core hours to facilitate this. Main duties: Receive stock and prepare wines for delivery/service at tastings and events Create equipment checklists for over 200 events a year Co-ordinate and prepare glassware for all events Ensure correct wines and equipment are loaded onto vans/delivered to venues prior to events Manage the returns process for excess stock following tastings and events Prepare the members room for all events Produce stock reports for wines used at tastings and events Control the upkeep and maintenance of equipment used by Tastings and Events Experience: · The ideal candidate will have experience of stock control procedures ideally in a warehouse environment. · There will be some heavy lifting involved so the candidate will need to be physically fit In order to support the tastings team in delivering the tastings and events programme the successful candidate will need to be able to drive a company van and to assist in the setup of venues prior to a tasting. As a result, some evening and weekend work and travel within the UK may be required to complete this role.
