Overview

An opportunity has arisen with a leading name in food production for an experienced Quality professional to join their team. As part of the Technical Team, you will carry out the above role in line with the company business plan, liaising with all appropriate Director’s, Manager’s and staff throughout the business responsible for all technical aspects across the site. As a Manager, as well as the main duties listed below you will be instrumental in understanding and sharing the responsibility of all relevant legal requirements of the business including H&S, all aspects of hygiene, legal labeling, employment law and any other aspect relevant to your role or the business. You will be expected to partake in daily production meetings and regular quality management meetings. It is the responsibility of each individual manager to fully brief their deputies prior to any absence. OVERVIEW OF POST: Qualified to degree level in a science or food related subject and ideally with some manufacturing experience, as Quality Manager, you will be one of the senior technical persons on site reporting to the company Technical Manager, taking responsibility for all aspects of technical compliance. As Quality Manager you’ll play a dual role; on one hand, you’ll need to be a people person and thrive as part of a team. On the other hand, you’ll need a genuine desire to lead. You must be able to inspire individuals and learn how to utilise your strong leadership skills. Many of the people you’re managing will have lots of experience and they’ll expect you to prove yourself.
