Export Shipping Agent

Export / Shipping Agent - perm £22-24K Our prestigious client is looking for a Shipping Agent to join their team to ensure that customer requirements are met and export / shipping documentation is completed in a timely and efficient manner. You will ensure that consistently high quality processes are followed in order for the company to build and develop customer relationships and fulfil the agreed transit times. As the Export / Shipping Agent you will be responsible for creating and confirming transport orders to ensure pickup and delivery of shipments in line with agreed transit times. You will be responsible for preparing, controlling and distribution of all required export documentation for all parties (carrier, consignee, supplier, etc) complying with regulations and internal procedures. You will follow up shipment status, identifying any incidents and ensuring their resolution in conjunction with customer services. You will maintain excellent relationships with the customers and suppliers; with the ability to identify any supplier performance issues and be able to propose solutions to rectify the issues. As the Export Shipping Agent, you will be used to working in a fast paced environment and be able to multi-task and prioritise. Experience of Air freight would be desirable. The company is looking for a candidate who possesses excellent administration skills (MS Office package, Excel, Word), who is results driven with good attention to details and able to interact at all levels and who can demonstrate a stable career path.
