Overview
Quality Engineer Job Location: Poole, Dorset Job Type: Permanent Salary: Depending on experience. Hours: 37.5 hours per week Due to substantial business growth a leading manufacturing company based in Poole are seeking to add an experienced Quality Engineer to their team. Reporting to the Quality Manager you will be working within an established team consisting of Quality Engineers and Inspectors to ensure that the quality of the materials coming into and out of the business are to the strictest of standards for both regulatory and company and that the company products are manufactured to correctly and to the same high standards. Within this role you will be responsible for (but not limited to): Implementing effective quality procedures and work methods including standard operating procedures Assisting in the implementation of defined statistical methods and quality tools within the business Ensuring that ISO9001 requirements and procedures are understood and adhered to · In-manufacturing quality support to meet objectives, eliminate waste and drive down cost of poor quality Undertaking process capability studies or special studies necessary to increase control and lower total quality costs Ensuring appropriate containment actions have been implemented and effective as required Assisting in promoting a quality aware culture throughout the business · Product Quality Support · Root cause problem solving, analysis & reporting · Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply chain. · Customer quality & returns support, to meet objectives, expectations and requirements of customers. Attending relevant meetings, and process necessary actions The successful applicant will: · Previous experience of working within a Quality position within either a manufacturing or electro mechanical environment is preferred. · Have knowledge in the use of measurement techniques; 8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys and other measurement tools · Have Quality systems / process knowledge Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Monday – Friday; 8am – 5pm with an earlier finish on a Friday When receiving your application for this vacancy, we will be contacting suitable applicants as soon as possible and want to ensure we are able to speak to you.
