Assembly Operatives

Acorn is seeking Assembly / Machine Operatives on behalf of our client. If successful, you will be working within an assembly environment, assembling products in accordance with specific customer requirements. Duties will include: Working either on your own or as part of a team under the direction of the Supervisor. Selecting product components to suit the individual or bulk order details. Assembly of the finished product. Checking the quality and alignment of the finish items. Ensuring that you work in safe manner at all times and that all safety and quality requirements are met. Stacking / packing finished products ready for dispatch to customers. The role is working Monday to Friday - daytime hours and full training is provided. Initial pay rate is £8.55 per hour, rising to £8.75 per hour after initial training. Overtime rate available £9.44 - £10.94 per hour. Occasional Saturday work may be required during busy times. Earlier finish on Fridays. The role is initially temporary ongoing, however it is expected to lead to a permanent role for candidates with the right skills following a successful temporary 12 week period.
