Manufacturing Manager Plymouth (Candidates Relocating are encouraged to apply) £60,000 to £65,000 Performance Bonus 25 Days Holiday Onsite Parking Pension Life Insurance Benefits Monday to Friday 39 Hour Week Manufacturing Manager required for a leading manufacturing company who can offer an excellent opportunity to join a market leader and play an integral part of their ongoing growth and development, with overall manufacturing responsibility. This is a key role within the senior management team and an excellent opportunity to join a company at an exciting time. Candidates from Automotive backgrounds typically transfer well, but candidates from any senior improvement focussed role in a medium/high volume environment are encouraged to apply The Manufacturing Manager role will suit candidates who are used to managing large teams, in a medium/high volume environment. You will need to be comfortable with high levels of responsibility, leading teams, driving improvement and liaising with clients and stakeholders on a regular basis. The Manufacturing Manage role with have overall responsibility for the sheet metal, paint and assembly areas, with overall responsibility of around 300 members of staff. You will need to have an engineering background to truly understand the process and create improvement plans to suit the needs of the business. You will manage the manufacturing team to KPIs, managing and improving HS, quality and welfare. The environment is metal based, you will be in fabrication/welding and CNC workshops day to day. You will use Lean Manufacturing techniques to drive improvement across the manufacturing function (Kanban, SMED, TPN and CI). The Role: Overall responsibility for 300 members of staff Responsible for driving change using Lean manufacturing techniques Working in a metal base environment (CNC, welding, fabricating) The Candidate: Comfortable with large amounts of responsibility and managing teams of over 200 Experience of driving improvement plans Confident liaising with key stakeholders, clients and other senior managers From an engineering background to understand the process and implement change
