Overview

Brightwork have a fantastic opportunity for a Scheduler to join their client's successful manufacturing organisation in South Lanarkshire. The Scheduler role is responsible for all daily production scheduling at the site and responsible management of materials planning of chilled items, ensuring materials are available for manufacturing at least cost to procure whilst minimising material write off. Responsibilites: Responsible for creating and driving to a Daily Production Schedule Responsible for forecast execution and regular reporting to the following metrics: Daily volume, whilst considering current stock shelf life Daily throughput targets reported as Conformance and Adherence to Plan Responsible for liaising with Demand Planners on committed delivery dates, delivery issues, capacity issues, and material issues Be the key communicator to all departments to ensure the plan is fit for purpose and be responsible for the resolution of any production issues raised Accountable for communicating and liaising with NPD Planner on product launches and delists Deliver the right balance of service, stock and responsiveness to our demand team to ensure delivery OTIF and communication channels to customer Call out high orders to demand team to investigate reason and customer expectation to allow planning decisions to be made Proactively chase demand team to push through exposed stock that is reaching min life Monitor material shelf life and take appropriate actions to reduce financial exposure whilst working with Technical teams to seek concessions, where appropriate Communicate any supply risks to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner to allow business to find alternative solutions Ensure all materials are ordered and delivered on time to meet both inventory levels and manufacturing dates Lead daily production meetings Co-ordinate timely despatch of finished goods to meet service level agreements, working collaboratively with the suite Inbound/Outbound Manager Responsible for producing morning reports and sending out by agreed deadlines Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Educated to HND level or equivalent Experience with an integrated ERP system Scheduling and/or capacity planning experience MRP experience required together with a structured approach to working within the areas of responsibility Excel to indermediate level essential Ability to work well with colleagues Must have a flexible approach to work Confident decision maker Able to communicate at all levels of the organisation Strong influencing skills Excellent analytical skills Ability to implement and drive change Please apply by submitting your CV.
