We now have an number of exciting opportunities to join one of the South West’s leading employers as a Catchment Modeller / Engineer for our team in Exeter. What will you be doing? Joining our team, the Catchment Modeller / Engineer will support the Catchment Asset Managers to collate and analyse data from multiple sources to establish catchment risk indicators and then undertake wastewater network problem characterisation and solution optioneering. You will ensure all data and reports, including hydraulic modelling outputs, provide high quality, reliable information. You’ll be responsible for building new or significantly upgrading existing standard hydraulic models. The Catchment Modeller / Engineer will assist other teams in identifying and evaluating the hydraulic and engineering constraints and assessing the feasibility of outline solutions by challenging traditional ‘hard’ engineered solutions, which are greener and reduce whole life costs. These solutions support our business focus to deliver on our key outcomes to reduce pollutions to the environment and prevent sewer flooding for our customers. You will continually review processes and procedures to identify improvements and incorporate new ways of working into routine and project specific tasks. What do you need? · Degree or equivalent in a related subject (Engineering or Science) · Experience using Infoworks ICM SE or CS software. · Experience of analysing and communicating data in a GIS environment · Regular involvement with hydraulic model build, verification and solution development · Ability to analyse information and to present this logically and accurately · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Sound organisation skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities · Full UK driving licence What can South West Water offer you?
