Overview

Do you have an in-depth knowledge and solid experience with Agile methods and a passion for enabling teams to succeed? Then read on. We are looking for an Agile Coach to join our team. We have doubled in size year on year and we recognise the need to adapt our organisational processes to keep pace with our growth and help us create new ways of working. About Modulr: Modulr is a Fintech scale-up that is breaking new ground within the payments sector. We are in a digital age when businesses need to move money 24/7 instead of operating within regular banking hours. Companies are under mounting pressure to manage their cash-flow, control their costs, comply with regulations and handle complex supplier, customer and employment payment arrangements. Modulr develops cutting-edge API-first solutions that enable businesses to overcome these challenges and take control of their money. We have grown to 15 teams in product and technology who deliver work in an Agile fashion. We use a mix of Agile methods and we don’t favour a particular one; we’d rather be open-minded and honest with what works for us. We prefer self-organising teams who work together to maximise the value we create. Some of our achievements include: Modulr ranked 18 on LinkedIn’s 2019 Top Start-ups List in UK. We were recently awarded £10 million from the BCR Fund to further develop our innovative product. Four years old, we have offices in London, Edinburgh and Dublin. We have processed over 20 million transactions with a value of over £25billion of business to date. Our scalable, robust and secure platform achieved 99.9% availability in Q4 of 2019. We are multi-award winning and want to keep creating a world class product. Has roughly 12 agile teams using Kanban or Scrum methodologies and is growing. Your main role will be to coach us to become a truly Agile organisation and whilst helping us be continuously improve and learn. You will: Coach leaders on agile leadership and stimulate a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation Evangelise and embody agile mindsets and make this part of an organisation’s culture Develop and implement agile processes, principles and practices across organisations including leadership through coaching, mentoring, and facilitating Understand systems thinking within a team, among a set of teams, and across the organization Enable teams to adapt and evolve their ways of working to become increasingly agile and product focused Have conversations and ability to influence at all levels in the organization to tell the hard truth and evoke systems to change, all without harming the relationship Create and deliver tools that support agile across Modulr, including training, workshops, and metrics Engage across teams and departments to understand different needs and help teams to select and adapt appropriate agile practices Coordinate organisational rethinking including structures, practices and policies Drive the removal of systemic impediments Understand Modulr’s DNA and select agile processes that work for us, not just textbook implementations Support and collaborate with other agile coaches and scrum masters You will be part of the technology organisation which is responsible for the delivery of Modulr’s software platform. Modulr develops cutting-edge API-first solutions that enable businesses to overcome these challenges and take control of their money What we are looking for: We are open to different professional backgrounds, but we expect you to have an in-depth knowledge and proven experience with Agile methods. Have 3-5 years’ experience with scaling up organisations, particularly at pace, to deliver an Agile strategy Can influence senior stakeholders on executing organisational change Are able to deal with ambiguity and coach decision-making processes Are self-steering, proactive, organised and have the ability to determine independently what needs to be done Have a positive mindset and a natural need to see solutions instead of problems Possess great interpersonal skills, teaching abilities, and a natural flare to inspire and motivate Enjoy self-improvement, attending conferences, and continuously learning and sharing best practice Are a clear communicator at various levels of skills and seniority In addition to a market leading salary we offer the following benefits: Modulr offer highly competitive salary and benefits packages; our employees enjoy the benefits of flexible working.
