E2E BI and Data Warehouse Analyst Developer Lead - FS with Data Driven Desire A rapidly expanding business that requires the establishing of a BI function to ensure that it drives consistency in reporting and data definitions across the Group as it expands, and ensure that the business is supplied with innovative, relevant and actionable reporting to support a data-driven decision making culture throughout the Group. You will be focused on the advancement of the company’s BI environment to drive critical reporting and data analysis for our business. This is an opportunity to leverage your passion for analytics and business intelligence to add considerable business impact through the delivery of BI. The BI Analyst will assist with the data warehousing efforts and be responsible for developing, maintaining ETL data feeds, BI reports, and dashboards. The BI Analyst will work closely with different department leaders to design, develop and support data structures, reports, scorecards and dashboards. We are looking for someone with strong experience across the entire BI stack including: DB, Data Warehouse, ETL tools, and front-end BI tools. We are also looking for someone who is comfortable being self-managed while providing adequate updates to keep appropriate stakeholders abreast of status. Technical ·Ability to review the existing code and set up best coding practices and standards across all BI development ·Proven experience/knowledge on Microsoft stack SSIS and SSRS and SQL server ·Experience of producing reporting and BI through QlikView, Crystal, Power BI, Tableau or similar enterprise BI tools ·Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Power Point, etc) ·Excel based, VBA scripted data manipulation and extraction/load design and support ·Microsoft BI technology stack experience – T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS ·Database development (complex SQL queries, stored procedures, user-defined functions, table design and performance optimisation) ·Any experience (including non-professional) of data visualisation / analysis / statistical modelling/ SQL 2016 ·Any experience (including non-professional) of virtualisation, disaster recovery, backups et ·Any Experience of Experian or Financial l Services Data advantageous ·Any experience or interest of Artificial Intelligence advantageous This is an exciting opportunity for an induvial to own and run the BI team for a growing and successful business. You’ll be responsible for: · Creating a BI Programme in Line with Business Change and Business Demands. · Take ownership and responsibility of the technical design, architecture and BI solution, keeping complete and end to end technical BI delivery goals in focus · Present technical BI solutions to non-technical stakeholders · Coaching Key Business employees on report writing. · Manage and deliver BI in line with BI Programme Manager roadmap · Provide assistance to the IT team and applications support teams (external); be able to provide technical solutions and answers to difficult and complicated business issues. · Develop technical processes and strategy for business demands managed efficiently and effectively, giving both ad-hoc and strategic considerations to the solutions. · Develop BI tool architecture including data presentation, data modelling, data blending, metadata and semantic layer development and governance · Support significant data and BI tool migration projects and on-going support · ETL scripting, data modelling and report/dashboard delivery within BI tools, (Alteryx would be advantageous) · Ensuring the hardware and software are up to date and fit for purpose for BI tool and user demands · Data mining and analysis using SQL (MySQL, MS SQL and Oracle SQL) and/or other tools as required e.g. PowerBI and Tableau · Manage data warehouse security, and control access permissions and privileges · Work closely with senior leaders, sales and operations to deliver meaningful data in the form of BI reports and dashboards. This role liaises directly with several key members of the business and therefore can truly improve & transform how we deliver information. · Utilize, update, and manage BI tools such as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerApps. · Play an active role in all IT projects to ensure the BI architecture continues to align with other systems as the overall IT architecture evolves. · Full Development Lifecycle from analysis Development, testing, release and support. You’ll need to evidence the following skills and experience: Business/Processes · Proven experience/knowledge of building data warehouses for successful and efficient delivery of reports, KPIs and dashboards · Enhancing query and report performance · Strong knowledge of relational & dimensional modelling with Kimball design · Preparing technical artefacts such as (but not limited to) Data Mapping, Data Lineage, Metadata, Logical and Physical Data Models for complex data structures · Good understanding of end-to-end BI development life cycle · Effective communicator with good organisational, prioritising and influencing skills · People management, leadership, provoking enthusiasm and efficiency within team · Promoting process adherence and compliance · Able to prioritise multiple tasks and work under pressure for senior business peers · Ability to adapt & change reporting requirements to suit business needs · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage / prioritise workload · Experience working in a similar role in a professional / corporate environment · Solid understanding of the development to production deployment process · Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, as well as the ability to present and explain technical information in a way that can be fully understood by a non-technical audience · Ability to work independently, to deadlines and under pressure and to prioritise work effectively whilst managing the expectations for delivery of end users The Benefits: · Competitive salary with annual bonus · Contributory pension · Benefits platform.
