Overview

The Complex Needs (children social care) team provide social work services to children and young people with disabilities / complex needs and their families. We are an established multi agency and collocated team working closely with health and education providing short breaks, child in need family support, child protection and care proceedings. The team works with a wide range of children and young people with disabilities across the borough up to the age of 18. The service provides support to children with challenging behaviours, autism, moderate to severe learning disabilities, epilepsy, and complex health and physical disabilities. The Complex Needs team supports children with to remain at home whenever possible and for as long as possible.
