AWS Data Architect - £75,000 - £85,000 15% cash flex (guaranteed salary) bonus benefits - London base office and first project will be in Bromley We are currently seeking a top performing AWS Data Architect with hands on experience of Data, Analytics and Cloud technology specifically with AWS (Amazon Web Services) to join our client's successful Insights & Data Practice. This is a permanent requirement within the Financial Services Business Unit and the successful consultant will be expected to travel. As the AWS Data Architect, you will need to be able to have an end-to-end vision, and to see how a logical design will translate into an S3/Redshift/Informatica implementation or Dynamo/Kinesis implementation and also have expertise on performance, security and data governance processes running on these platforms. The range of activities that our Data Architects get involved with is extensive and includes:- Development of the Enterprise Information Architecture and alignment with Corporate Strategy, specifically the data elements Definition of Enterprise Information Requirements Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data modelling including canonical data models (business logical models) Engagements include on-site projects proving the use of AWS services to support new distributed computing solutions that often span private cloud and public cloud services. Help to architect & migrate all ETL, Data Warehousing, and BI stack to AWS Cloud. Engagements will include migration of existing applications and development of new applications using AWS cloud services. Provide in-depth knowledge and strategy regarding the migration of our client's data using any of the following Cloud technology services such as AWS. Provide training and support to help teams and our partners learn to use AWS services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Data Pipeline, S3, DynamoDB NoSQL, Relational Database Service (RDS), Elastic Map Reduce (EMR) and Amazon Redshift. Share experiences of previous implementation challenges and recommendations for new capabilities that would simplify and drive greater value from use of AWS cloud services. Development of a data strategy and associated governance policies, procedures Selection of capabilities and systems to meet business information needs from a data perspective - this must include how the solutions are delivered i.e. link to solution architect Business Case and Cost Justification of the development of Informational Systems Reviewing Corporate Information exploitation, the effectiveness of their Informational Systems and gaps between their data information requirements and capabilities Technical Consultancy: advising clients on aspects of designing and building a data warehouse solution and how to exploit /best user their data. This should include identifying competitive uniqueness Technical Design Authority / Architect for delivery / build projects using technical skills above and including liaison and negotiation with major and niche leading-edge technology suppliers. Presales - Providing technical input and meeting with clients to secure new business. Responding to client RFI, RFP and ITT documents including cost estimates and follow activities to secure new business. examines existing software and determines requirements for new/modified systems in the light of business needs; undertakes feasibility study to design data flow solutions and working with the solution architect to put this into practice Required: Analytical and consulting skills Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills Articulates recommendations to persuade others Be able to work with customers independently Lead solution definition and deployment in small project Client interfacing skills Works well in a team setting Project management Relationship management Be able to advise customers on functional solution Experience of working within the consulting industry Excellent communication skills - interviewing, preparation and delivery of presentations and reports Happy to travel within the UK and occasionally abroad Damia Group Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
