MHE Instructor / FLT Trainer 4 on 4 off Days or Nights - both shifts available Rochdale The Candidate This role would suit a candidate with strong FLT experience looking to move into an Instructor / Trainer position. You will have the following skills, experiences and attributes . Hold relevant FLT licences and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy warehouse environment. . RTITB Instructor - desirable (training will be provided for the right candidate) . Hold a recognised teaching qualification DTTLS/Cert Ed or equivalent - desirable . Experience delivering FLT and Warehousing courses previously would be ideal. . Good IT skills. . Ability to use initiative and be flexible in approach . Contribute and work well as part of a team The Role You will be responsible for delivering quality on-site FLT training on various types of Fork Lift Trucks (MHE) ensuring a fully competent and safe shift team in the distribution centre. Duties will include . To deliver high quality classroom and on the job training to support learners to achieve their Forklift Truck qualifications. . Be the FLT expert on shift to provide on-going information, advice and guidance to drivers and members of the management and Health and Safety teams. . Assist management team in managing underperformance through actively coaching individuals deemed to be underperforming by the management team. . Ensuring that all training paperwork is completed to a high standard in all instances . Share best practice and communicate ideas in order to constantly develop the training provision within the DC. . To be a role model for standards of safety, product care and KPI's; communicating these standards effectively to trainees. . To regularly update Team Leaders, Supervisors and Management on how new starters are progressing and provide them with summary training records. . To attend regular site Trainer Meetings to share best practice and discuss ways of improving the overall site training provision. .
