Procurement Manager Newcastle Upon Tyne £35,000 - £45,000 Growing engineering business is actively looking for an experienced procurement manager to join and lead a busy procurement function. The Role As Procurement Manager you will be responsible for the leadership the company’s procurement strategy for all client projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working on multiple engineering projects simultaneously, with the ability to delegate tasks and support a purchasing team of buyers. As the You will be responsible for the Supply Chain strategy working on coordinating on simultaneous projects, estimating and allowing for differing time scales and costs, avoiding bottlenecks in production whilst maintaining product quality and meeting deadlines The Skills & Experience The client is looking for an individual with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills and the ability to lead teams as well as develop a solid procurement/production strategy. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge/experience in the following areas: · 5 years’ procurement experience, ideally within project engineering · Transactional and strategic procurement · Building & managing supplier relationships · Team management experience · Ideally coming from an engineering background with the ability to reach technical drawings
