We are currently recruiting for a Business Procurement Manager within our Plant Based (new division) based in Leicestershire. Job Opportunity To work in partnership with Business Leadership Team, Group Procurement, Suppliers and Customers to accelerate financial delivery, protect the business from risk and transform supplier led innovation. Own the Bakery Procurement Agenda and Accountable for Planning and Delivering the Bakery Purchase Price Variance and Profit Improvement Plan. Accountable for Supplier Performance at the Bakery. Responsible for ensuring that group procurement understand and are aligned to the strategic and operational needs of the bakery, and that central projects are effectively managed through the bakery. Act as the point of escalation for all procurement escalations at the bakery. Support NPD to determine the right approved suppliers are identified and are only using the correct approved suppliers. Setting the Plant Based Category Procurement Strategy based on a full understanding of bakery and group Acting as a collaborative partner to the bakeries to respond to and resolve escalations. Close alignment with group procurement and ensuring group procurement is informed of all planned ingredients and packaging items. Supporting the business to drive future innovation whilst ensuring that the business continues to rationalise their product range wherever possible. All NPD sourcing activity for the business unit, ensuring that materials are sourced from the group preferred supplier list and site NPD activity is controlled in an effective way all the way through from concept to launch. Supplying the product information to the business unit for all new materials, ensuring accuracy of data with all new raw material input costs. Updating the necessary business systems with the product information and excellent sample management is key to this role. In addition, you will have the following skills: Graduate level preferred CIPS qualification preferred Full driving license Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a procurement function Driving through step changes within a business Need to demonstrate the ability to deliver the highest performance standards for self The ability to make difficult decisions and to take a calm & measured approach in an often pressured environment which often involves working to tight deadlines to overcome and achieve results. Strong analytical skills with ability to manipulate and provide insight from large and varied volumes of data. Willingness to travel, extensively within the UK, with occasional overseas. Strong planning and organisational skills Perseverance in the face of challenge with a professional approach Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload to meet demands from multiple stakeholders.
