Homewear Technologist

We have a unique opportunity for a Technologist specialising in Homewear to join a leading Brand working on a part time basis, 3 days a week. The successful individual will be responsible for for soft lines, hardlines and electricals . Role Responsibilities: • Ensuring Homewear products meet customers’ expectations in terms of performance and quality, whilst conforming to prevailing legislation and regulations. • Conduct product risk assessments, in line with critical path, approve packaging and bulk production. • Take responsibility for own product classes carrying out a range of technical, investigative work to ensure the product is delivered to the best of standards. • Effectively communicate with the global supply chain. • Factory liaison. • Commercial decision making. • Test report approvals and analysis. • Quality control reporting and analysis of product returns. • Working with buyers and designers. • Drive projects in line with business requirements. Homewear Technologist Key requirements: • Experience working as a Homewear Technologist with electricals and hardlines is essential. • A sound knowledge of regulatory and compliance relating to hard lines and electricals • Building great relationships is very important to this role. Internal relationships that are critical are with the buying and design teams. External relationships that are critical are with the supply base, packaging suppliers, technical labs and advisory services. • Knowledge of manufacturing would be advantageous. • Confident and flexible approach. • Excellent interpersonal, team working and communication skills. • Good problem-solving mindset.
