Purchase Ledger Clerk

Construction business on the outskirts of Wigan seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to start immediately. Your new company This construction business is based on the outskirts of Wigan and due to a long term absence, the Finance Director has approached Hays seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to start as soon as possible and continue on a long term basis. This is a thriving business with significant expansion plans and therefore there is the potential of a more permanent position for the right candidate. Your new role Reporting into the Finance Director and working in a team of 4, you will be responsible for the purchase ledger function within the finance team. Responsibilities will include the processing of invoices, matching, batching and coding of invoices, supplier statement reconciliations, posting of debit and credit notes, receipt of payments, collating and processing of payment runs, internal and external query resolution and general accounts support. Starting in this role toward the end of February, the role will initially be for a period of 2-3 months, however there is the chance that this could become a more permanent role. The working hours for this role will be 8 till 5. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in securing this role you must possess significant purchase ledger experience, ideally having worked within the construction industry previously and have experience of working on Sage. You must be available to start immediately and will be able to commit to a role for 2-3 months, ideally seeking a permanent position in the long run.
