Are you an experienced Production or Order Make Up Manager looking for a new challenge within a factory environment? A rapidly expanding successful group that encompasses all aspects of the meat trade is recruiting an Order Make-Up Manager to join the night shift at our site in Irlam, Manchester. Our business which is a Catering Butcher, has over 100 years' experience in the meat and farming industries. All products are prepared in the factory daily each customer's specifications, packaged and labelled to and above legislation and then delivered direct throughout the UK. The Main Responsibilities of the role are; Responsible for ensuring the full order completion in line with critical time dispatches. To administrate holiday shift patterns in accordance with company policy ensuring that all necessary cover is in place. To liaise on a day to day basis with the Production managers on required stock levels and key line requirements. To liaise with the Technical department on labelling requirements. To work on training, development and improving the skill levels of all staff. To liaise with HR regarding timekeeping & absences to comply with the Company Absence Procedure & Policy. To ensure a succession plan is in place so adequate holiday/absence cover is available at all times. To deputize for the order make up manager. To report on business KPI's as appropriate. Essential Skills No formal qualifications are required for this role and full training will be provided however it is essential you have managerial experience in a production and fast paced environment and significant experience managing staff. Good communication skills. Ability to develop good working relationship with managers in other areas of the business, to deliver the common goals of the business in terms of profitability and provision of agreed service levels to customers. Willingness to embrace change and develop people within your team. The ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Desirable Skills Experience of managing an order picking operation would be advantageous but not essential. You should have good numeracy and literacy and be able to work individually and as part of a team in a very busy environment. We also provide national distribution via our own fleet and transport partners.
