Overview
Account Handler - Credit Controller Our client is an award winning leader within insurance sector with a vast network in corporate functions, customer management and client solutions. Due to significant expansion plans, our client is looking to recruit an account handler with a background in IBA (Insurance Brokering Accounts) and credit control, to join their established finance function. Job Purpose: Providing professional accounting services in respect with clients and markets on a variety of globally based accounts. Carry out credit control, allocation of receipts, payment settlements and fiduciary accounts. Ensure that corporate compliance standards are maintained at all times and corporate governance guidelines are adhered to. Duties and Responsibilities: Running credit control on established global accounts within strict time constraints Manage and prioritise workload within own portfolio and providing effective credit control and account handling Communicate with the wider finance team and external stakeholders to obtain prompt collection of receivable balances or gain agreement to the settlement of payable balances. Fostering and cultivating relationships with internal and external key contacts. Participate in meetings with clients and markets to build relationships, understand their issues, resolve problems and review working practices. Support existing and future revenue opportunities through professional communication Assist with the preparation of reports, statistics and management information, as required Support department activities to comply with FCA and other industry regulatory requirements. Skills & Experience: Prior experience/exposure to credit control and IBA (Insurance Brokering Accounts), and finance experience within the insurance sector General knowledge of the insurance and financial services market Knowledge of Microsoft office and accounting software (Sage) Strong numerical and analytical skills. Qualifications in a mathematical/statistical field Please note this role will be based in Witham, and will need someone in good commuting distance or willingness to travel.
