Overview
A Lloyd's Broker is looking to appoint a Placing Broker in London to place a range of Marine business, both UK and international. The largest accounts are c£700k GWP - mostly work boats/cargo carrying vessels. As they don't have a dedicated Marine Broker at present, they use a Lloyd's Broker to place some business, so part of the role will be transferring this business to their London market team. The role will also entail handling all new enquiries, developing MI that measures and reports performance and developing new opportunities from existing or new connections. The jobholder must also be able to commit to one day a week in their Kent office. Applicants must have a proven background in placing UK Marine business in the Lloyd's market. Solid relationships with Underwriters and other Brokers are highly sought. This company has an excellent reputation in the market and their low staff turnover demonstrates their exemplary culture.
