The Coal Authority has an exciting opportunity for a Web Developer to join the team based in Mansfield on a full time, permanent basis in return for a competitive salary of £31,044 - £43,220 per annum . The Web Developer role: This is your chance to join a world leading organisation in remediating the environmental problems associated with 300 years of coal mining in the UK. This role will give you the ability to help shape the conversations we have with our customers and stakeholders so excellent communication skills are essential. We are proud to be a disability confident employee so your passion for technology and making services accessible will be crucial for making this role a success Expert in WordPress, you will be called upon to lead our intranet redesign as well as work closely with colleagues in communications and across the business to enhance and improve our web presence. Responsibilities of our Web Developer: - Develop, maintain and support Coal Authority web sites and digital services - Full stack development: contribute to the backend development of applications and technical services - Ensure all web sites and services are appropriately secured and meet the requirements for compliance with relevant policies and standards - Utilise modern design principles to maintain corporate image - Provide technical leadership within the team, championing the latest web technologies. - Collaboratively work with the Communications team - Deliver challenging business objectives and adhere to Service Level Agreements - Work with key business stakeholders & understand commercial implications of delivery - Demonstrate strong problem solving skills What we’re looking for in our Web Developer: You are passionate about technology and the Web and believe that digital services should be available to all. You believe that the needs of the customer is central for all you do, so you are flexible and able to solve detailed problems quickly. As a natural communicator you are able to tailor your message to the audience you are dealing with. Self-motivated, you are equally at home with working in small teams or alone to deliver multiple and varied projects to tight deadlines.
