The Junior Software Tester can be a graduate or junior candidate but there is also scope for the salary band to be increased for candidates with some good commercial experience. No commercial software testing experience is necessary as full training will be provide d for the Junior Software Tester, but an active interest in IT is essential. Working within a small testing team also means there is the opportunity for Junior Software Tester to take ownership of projects throughout the full software development lifecycle. Creating well-structured test plans and test cases Gaining experience in both Agile and Waterfall Staying up to date with the latest software testing strategies and tools. Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality Training in automation Desirable skills: Previous experience within an IT or support based environment Automation testing knowledge Able to assess risks and make informed decisions Java or another Object Orientated programming (OOP) language Selenium, TestNG or other testing technologies TestRail, Jira Browserstack Jenkins Confluence The candidate: The role would suit a junior / graduate candidate looking to move into Software testing, or looking for their first role after school or university. The successful candidate will be given full training although some experience in Testing would be advantageous.
