Contracts Manager Location: Hillington, Glasgow Salary: Circa £50,000, DOE Generous Car Allowance Contract: Full time & Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm) About Us IQA Group is a leading provider of utility contracting services to Distribution Network Operators, the private sector and the public sector across the UK. We have identified, to strengthen our business we are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager. About the Role The role is responsible for helping the business to procure services and materials in a timely and cost-effective way. Working across IQA, ensuring our businesses gets the best possible service and value from our supplier network, as well as ensuring all service providers are compliant and continue to meet contractual obligations and business needs. You will focus on providing the necessary pre and post contract quantity surveying / commercial support on a range of one off and programmes of work. You will be able to combine strong commercial acumen with well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills with demonstrable experience delivering projects/programmes of work. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Contract Manager will support the Project Managers to deliver strategies and contracts, providing robust post contract commercial management which will support the project goals and objectives. Day to day tasks are as follows (but not limited to): Client and supply chain contractual management Ensure work done is timely and accurately recorded, invoiced and paid in line with contractual terms Preparation of weekly financial and contract management reporting and monthly cost value reconciliation Identifying risks, opportunities and any required actions Management of client compensation event process Management contractual and certification of supply chain Oversee and involvement in site operational processes such as measure, compensation event identification, cost base management Feed into the reporting/forecasting for budgeting/forecasting purposes Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients Manage daily operations, contract negotiations and production planning Assess risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met and be ready to handle unexpected situations Analysing project, e.g. impact on timing, revenue and gross profit of changes to supply chain and client rates and the programme efficiency Management and reporting of project prelims Supporting the tender and estimating team as and when required Develop accurate and consistent bids with the help of relevant departments Any other adhoc activities that IQA may require Requirements BSc/BEng in business administration, engineering or relevant field (desirable). Excellent commercial acumen and Project Management skills Excellent knowledge of contractual agreements and law Experience in a similar role at a similar level Ability to communicate at all levels Ability to analyse and interpret numerical data Contract drafting and writing skills Strong communication, sales and presentation skills Competent on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Competent in understanding project programmes and the commercial impact of changes Understanding of Council street work systems is beneficial Ability to work on own initiative and act independently whilst being able to work successfully as part of a team Able to work to deadlines Full driving license Benefits: excellent salary Generous car allowance 25 days annual holiday, plus 8 stats If you have the skills and experience we require for this role, please click on the APPLY button and forward an up to date CV and cover letter.
