Overview

Surface Mount Technology Rework Operator Our clients are an established manufacturing company based in Hastings. They are currently seeking a SMT Rework Operator to join their busy team. The ideal SMT Rework Operator will have demonstrable SMT production and re-work experience, be able to use tools and equipment relevant to the role and possess good written and oral communication skills. As SMT Rework Operator you will support the Surface Mount assembly processes, carry out wiring mods or SMT builds by hand as well as use state of the art JBC rework equipment. The Ideal SMT Rework Operator will possess the following skills and qualities: Demonstrable experience with SMT production and re-work Be able to use tools and equipment relevant to the position Possess good written and oral communication Be a strong team player Ability to recognise the importance of a secure and safe environment Possessing an excellent eye for detail Your duties as a SMT Rework Operator would be: Supporting the Surface Mount assembly processes Possessing the capabilities of safely handling, replacing or reworking the solder joints on SMT components minimum of 0402 sizes, QFP, QFN a variety connectors and other SMT parts Using state of the art JBC rework equipment Carrying out wiring mods and or complete SMT builds by hand Completing basic paperwork correctly Some further training for the use of specific equipment including Auto Optical Inspection machines will beprovided Salary: £20,000 per annum depending on experience Hours: Mon – Thurs: 7.30am – 4.30pm Fri: 7.30am – 1.30pm Location: Hastings, East Sussex Start Date: ASAP Key Words: SMT, Surface Mount Technology, Operative, Assembly, QFP, QFN, Auto Optical Inspection, Re-work, Production, Hastings, St Leonards, Bexhill, East Sussex
