Overview

Are you a multi skilled maintenance engineer looking for an exciting maintenance engineering position? This could be for you. The Role; We are looking for an experienced maintenance engineer to perform maintenance on a variety of automated materials handling machinery, working in a distribution centre. The organisation are a market leading logistics company who provide storage and distribution solutions for the food industry and are a huge market leading brand on the high street. Due to the online shopping demand, the team are looking for an extra pair of hands Involved within the warehouse is a variety of materials handling machinery consisting of conveyance systems, automated cranes and ASRS equipment. You will be responsible for gearbox changes, motor changes and bearing changes. As well as, the general facility maintenance on the building. Please note this role is to cover maintenance 24/7 365 per year and will involve a shift rotation covering days, nights and weekends. Panama Shift (2's and 3's - every other weekend off). The site is also a cold store so includes temperatures down to -22 degrees. Adequate clothing is provided and there are a variety of health and safety procedures in place, ensuring you have the necessary breaks and limited time within the cold during breakdowns. What will you be doing? Conducting service and maintenance work, breakdowns and urgent repairs to support site. Ensure that Company procedures and standards are followed and maintained. Maintain good service and support to ensure customer satisfaction. Follow-up and resolve issues which are highlighted through the support organisation. Demonstrate a proactive, can do, will do attitude. Establish, manage and improve all aspects of breakdown and repair and standby maintenance support. Ensure that customer receives the agreed level of service and support. Ensure agreed customer proposals and schedules are fulfilled to agreed company technical standards while working to agreed company health and safety standards. The JOB: Salary of £39,000-£42,000 Panama shift pattern (12 hour shifts) The hub is based on the DRIFT estate Crick (NN6) Junction 18 M1 YOU: Multi-skilled engineer with experience working in an automated environment such as FMCG, food manufacturing, automated warehousing, logistics, industrial manufacturing.
