Warehouse / Facilities Manager

Are you an experienced Manager from a warehouse / production / distribution / maintenance background looking for a new opportunity? We are looking for a Warehouse / Facilities Manager to work 10.00 – 19.00pm for a busy steel processing company in the Walsall area. Permanent opportunity with a company that will offer bonus’s and incentives. The ideal candidate must have relevant management experience. The Job Role Organising the production for each week. Organising the deliveries required for the transport department and calling in external hauliers to take on any extra loads. Organising daily delivery scheduled for up to 5 internal vehicles, plus external requirements. Organisation of maintenance schedules for the maintenance of the machines and plant in line with preventative and breakdowns with maintenance supervisor on a daily/weekly basis and ensuring all safety checks are completed. Organisation of both stores areas in the works, thus ensuring orders are picked correctly and on time. Health and Safety implementation, training and supervision – typically meaning that checks for correct PPE is always worn and that SOP’s are adhered to for machine operation and all processes. This person will have a close working relationship with senior managers, including the HSE manager. Disciplinary actions are also part of the manager’s role and this includes back to work meetings, plus any other attendance problems and any breach of employees COE. Key holding and responsibility for the secure opening and locking of all facilities on site. This list is a small snapshot of the responsibilities of this very busy position. Experience / Requirements The candidate will have experience of working in a medium to heavy industry environment and needs to be used to problem solving. Must have experience working in a fast paced environment. IOSH training and certification Fork truck and crane licences Banksman understanding and qualifications.
