Software Developer

Our small, friendly and expanding client is seeking to recruit a software developer to join their team In Haywards Heath. The role: Primarily software development, with a secondary role in providing day to day IT operations support cover when required. Our client is seeking a candidate who has formal training and experience in developing full stack C# .NET software, Visual Studio, SQL Server and IIS. On occasion it will be necessary to stand in for other members of the IT team for holiday or sickness cover. This will involve covering day to day IT operations. Experience with Windows servers, Exchange Server, scripting languages, networking would be an advantage. The successful applicant will have: Excellent Software Development skills Proven experience of working in similar roles Be proficient in the following OOP C# .Net Frameworks MVC using Razor JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, HTML, CSS RESTful APIs Visual Studio SQL server IIS LINQ and EF Have an understanding of the 4 pillars and SOLID principles Solid level of mathematical ability Excellent SQL scripting and querying skills Understanding of TDD, DDD Understanding of Git, Azure DevOps Desirable personal attributes are: Self-motivation is key; the right candidate will be expected to complete tasks without micromanagement You will most likely have a further qualification A requirement is fluent English both spoken and written Preference will be given to candidates who have a positive manner, are quick learners and are able to operate independently A methodical and meticulous working manner Excellent communication, both written and oral Experience in any of the following domains will be an advantage: Working in a small business environment - an 'all hands to the pump’ attitude essential This is a responsible and important role and the right person will be rewarded with an appropriate salary, plus 4 weeks paid holiday and company pension contributions. Terms to be discussed after successful first interview Our client is located in Haywards Heath and, while the position will require some occasional travel to visit clients, most working days (9 - 5 Mon-Fri) will be office based. The role is available now (Flexible for the right person, must be able to start Q4 2019) Salary to be agreed based on experience £37,000 - £45,000 this salary is flexible for the right person.
