Job Title: Room Leader Salary: £11.06-11.40 per hour Location: Brixton Community Nursery, 27 Brixton Station Road, London SW9 8QQ Qualification: Level 3 or above in Childcare or equivalent Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday Despite the challenges of the coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis we are still recruiting for staff in our nurseries. Description: Our Brixton Community Nursery is a 40 place setting caring for children from birth to 5 years old. We share our premises with the Brixton Recreational Centre which enables our children to use the swimming pool, soft play area and studio rooms for exciting physical activities. The nursery is made up of 1 baby, 1 toddler and 1 preschool room and we also have a unique outdoor balcony. Our new Room Leader will the lead the room and the team of Early Years professionals to create and plan daily routines and activities to encourage children's curiosity and expose them to new and rich experiences. You will be role modelling behaviours for other members of staff as well as for the children with creativity and passion. Requirements: Full and relevant child care qualification at level 3 or above or equivalent. Prior experience leading a room and supporting others such as apprentices and assistants Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and how this is monitored in a nursery setting. Child centred with a strong drive to deliver quality child care. A thirst to learn new skills and desire to be the best you can be and to support others to be the best they can be Motivated to make a difference within your community.
