Electrical Design Engineer Up to £40,000 Benefits Preston Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking for your next career move within a highly established and innovative company? You will be required to take on the responsibility for electrical design and build quality, technically guiding the electrical engineering team and proactively advising any site maintenance within a well-established commercial diving company. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will showcase and build your portfolio through engaging with clients to deliver individualised and personalised projects completed to their specifications. Electrical Design Engineer Ideal Candidate: · Minimum of 10 years industry experience, with some experience ideally within senior engineering · AutoCAD Electrical Advanced operator: capable of creating schematics, managing libraries, compiling BOMS and interfacing with mechanical engineers who use Inventor · Strong electrical knowledge of MV & LV, 3PH 380-440v, 230VAC applications and DC control systems · Experience with specifying electrical distribution systems, protective devices, transformers, motors, switch-gear and operator control interfaces · Experience of heavy industrial Manufacturing / Field service / Marine / Oil & Gas / Nuclear is beneficial · Working knowledge of BS7671 (17th - 18th editions) Electrical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities: · Systematic fault finding and rectification to ensure correct operation of electrical and systems-based equipment · Ensure that procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities · Conversant with electrical symbols and drawing standards, schematics, cable schedules, cable routing, control circuits, panel general assemblies and termination diagrams · 400 Volt 3 Phase Design · 230 Volt Domestic Design · Innovative high-level concept designs · Liaising with clients to understand and develop their specific design specifications · Working with external customers, suppliers and partners · Managing Design tasks to meet design review criteria and programme schedules · Applying relevant engineering and design standards and processes to product definition Ginger Recruitment is an independent North-West recruitment consultancy, based in Ribchester.
