Overview
An opportunity to work for an electronics / embedded software business that has been acknowledged for designing and manufacturing the most disruptive technology device in the medical device sector for the past 50 years. The company have some notable investors including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. You will be working on a handheld IVD device that is able to do the analysis of blood quicker and cheaper than anywhere else in the world. This enables people all around the world to have access to better healthcare. With high demand globally for the company's devices they are now looking to significantly grow the embedded software team in order to enhance and further develop their current products. There is some very exciting new technology developments planned for the devices which you will have opportunity to be involved in e.g. camera systems, imaging analysis, thermometer control etc. They have openings for the below positions: Embedded Software Technical Lead - circa £60,000 Senior Embedded Software Engineer- circa £55,000 Embedded Software Engineer- circa £47,000 This role gives you the chance to apply your embedded software skills to exciting and game changing devices which is have a positive impact on a global scale. On site in Stirling you will be working closely with Scientists, Chemists, the Marketing Department as well as other Software and Electronics Engineers. The owners of company (who are serial entrepreneurs are regularly present and very much still involved in the company, getting involved with everyone in the business). The business also has offices in Boston and a Manufacturing facility in Scotland. For the role you should be an Embedded Software Engineer who has good Embedded C Microcontroller/ Microprocessor experience who will enjoy working throughout the software lifecycle. If you have experience working on low power memory constrained devices and on products that are used in a Safety Critical sector this would be advantageous (but is not essential). If you want to work in a fast-paced environment (where the company still retains that start up feel) whilst working on a fascinating product, this will be a role which will tick every button for you. SKILLS REQUIRED: Embedded C programming Real Time Microcontroller / Microprocessor experience RTOS or Bare Metal experience Serial Communication Protocol experience (I2C, UART, RS232, RS485, TCP IP) DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE: Developed embedded software code for Safety Critical sectors (Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Medical, OilGas etc) Linux Low power wireless protocol experience (Bluetooth, BLE, Thread, Zigbee) Python Agile, SCRUM To discuss this role in further detail please contact Andrew Knight or Chris Oddy at KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd.
