Overview

Major Multidisciplinary Engineering Consultants, currently working on mixed use, commercial office, education, higher education & residential developments, seek to strengthen their West Midlands MEP team by the appointment of a highly capable Thermal Modeller/ Building Physics Consultant Role: Joining an established professional team working on projects from smaller niche schemes to very high value developments, your role will include: Thermal modelling using IES VE to include areas such as: building orientation, daylight analysis, ventilation strategies, construction, thermal performance, overheating etc Production of EPCs & DECs Preparation of energy assessments & audits Close collaboration with MEP Engineers in the design of low carbon Building Services solutions Site surveys of existing buildings & their services installations Undertaking post construction reviews Contributing to the general development of sustainable methods & techniques within the location Job Requirements: Ideally degree qualified in a Building Services/ Sustainability discipline Strong experience of building thermal modelling gained with M&E Consultants or D&B Contractors Thorough understanding of building physics Fully capable with IES VE or TAS Software Professionally accredited or working toward certification Keen to develop your career further Benefits: Excellent negotiable salary & benefits package Friendly, well-resourced working environment Very good CPD opportunities Company Profile: Award winning MEP Building Services, Civil, Structural & Geotechnical Engineers with a first class reputation for the delivery of innovative, sustainable & cost effective design solutions and offering good scope for further professional development and progression Interested in this opportunity?
