Job Title: Data Engineer Location: Portsmouth Salary: £45k - £50k The Defence industry continues to safe guard it's staff and provide an exceptional level of service despite the current climate, this client is no exception. They have recently won a large contract to improve the way that data is rolled out across a vast network of customers, ensuring that their information is both current and competitive. The sheer scale of this project cannot be overstated, this promises to be a very interesting role for the successful applicant. Key Requirements: Design, Develop, Test and Support data collection and integration with ETL applications. Implement tight data controls to ensure a seamless flow of data around the organisation. Model data requirements, sources and flows to bring structure to large programmes of work. Own the lifecycle development of corporate data assets. Define metadata for searchability and governance of unstructured data. Undertake data mapping design, analysis and profiling activities. Design data models needed within ETL application components. Help support complete ETL applications and frameworks.
