What you'll be doing You will be bridging the gap between our Security Operations Team's and our Technical Team's across the UK to champion the vulnerability remediation lifecycle. This would include analysing and scheduling reporting, dealing with mitigating and escalating vulnerability incidents, and helping / providing specialist knowledge of Vulnerabilities. What's a typical day? No two days are the same in this role, but our responsibilities would be focused around implementing processes to identify and triage security vulnerabilities across the Bupa IT environment. In addition to this you would maintain reliable, up-to-date, information across the industry regarding information security operations, including new and existing threats, vulnerabilities, and incorporates that detail into actionable deliverables to protect Bupa. There would also be a need to identify systemic issues and/or opportunities for improvement and work with relevant stakeholders to improve the business security posture. As with any role there would be a need to work towards KPI's and monitor the SLA's of our third party partners and business stakeholders when it comes to vulnerability safeguards. Although this role is heavily focused around vulnerability there would be links in to incident management and Security administration. This would be centred around supporting security administration processes and ensure that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures, and prioritising / diagnosing vulnerabilities according to agreed incident management procedures. You will assist in the management of security incidents as appropriate. Who we're looking for? Deep experience in at least one technology tower (End User Computing, Hosting or Networks.) Strong technical expertise and able to present as a technically competent SME from a vulnerability perspective Has a track record of technical delivery within a fast paced & pressured environment. Awareness and use of security and privacy concepts (e.g. international and industry standards, legal and regulatory constraints, etc.). Exposure to Security Monitoring and vulnerability management tools. Exposure to Vulnerability Management and Threat Intelligence sources. Should have strong knowledge on OWASP top 10 Vulnerabilities Knowledge of perimeter and host security intrusion techniques. Knowledge of typical enterprise security services such as: Threat Intelligence Penetration testing Anti-malware Email/SPAM management Authentication mechanisms SIEM WAF Firewalls Proxy technologies IDS/IPS DLP We're driven by one purpose, helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and that that means our people too.
