Job Role: Occupational Health Technician Job Type: Contract Hours: Part Time – 24 hrs Industry: Consumer Products Location: Barnsley Rate: £14.00 to £15.00/hr Purpose The Occupational Health Technician shall support the Occupational Health and Wellbeing team in the assessment of employee’s fitness for employment. Perform health surveillance and health screening procedures. Duties -Perform health surveillance/screening procedures in line with standard protocols and procedures (as per list in appendix). -Record all results in an agreed format, adopting a consistent approach -Instruct employees on completion of paperwork/forms -Support the activities of the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Department -Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical procedures. Negotiate and agree the introduction of these procedures in association with the nursing personnel. -Take lead responsibility for the maintenance of stock levels of clinical consumables. -Ensure that clinical equipment is maintained and calibrated on a planned basis. -Participate in relevant in-house training and induction programmes for new and existing employees. -Maintain a working knowledge of relevant statutory codes of practice and guidance notes. -At all times perform duties in accordance with the requirements of the job description maintaining client confidentiality For more information regarding this role please call Mark Davis on or to make an application send a CV to .
