Overview
The main purpose of this Business Analyst role, based in Camberley for a leading manufacturing and production business, is to provide Senior Management and the Sales & Marketing teams with business intelligence, information and data. Description Business Analyst responsibilities include: Ownership of the monthly bookings reconciliation and reporting processes for EMEA. Ensure all datasets are complete and accurate, all data validation routines are carried out and that any system or data issues are promptly investigated and resolved. This involves liaising with the Sales, CSC, Finance and Major Accounts teams to ensure data integrity is fully maintained at all times, and that all steps and adjustments are fully documented. Consolidation, analysis and reporting of industry datasets. Updating the EMEA BI platform with latest industry, bookings and share data for all regions and all product lines. Provide training for all users as necessary and ensure reports continue to meet the requirements of all stakeholders. Performance Reporting & Analysis - supporting the organisation with regular and ad-hoc performance reporting & variance analysis (vs. plan / prior year / forecast) by dealer/territory/cluster and class/product line. Provide insightful commentaries, highlighting areas of concern and emerging issues for further study. Preparation of reporting packs to support weekly bookings calls, monthly scheduling meetings and bi-monthly GUM reviews. Reviewing the customer and industry mapping of EMEA bookings data in support of the organisation's Industry Strategy. Carry out data cleansing tasks where appropriate, working with the Industry Management, Account ID, Major Accounts and Finance teams to ensure alignment of reporting and analysis across the organisation. Provide performance reporting on HYG bookings and market size development by industry vertical and segment. Maintaining and supporting the development of the BI reporting platform. To include writing new system reports (or enhancing existing reporting) within the platform, and converting large and complex datasets into clear and concise tables, graphs and charts. Ensure all system master tables are maintained with latest data. Supporting and at times leading internal projects aimed at enhancing the analysis and reporting capability of the MI department. Ownership of the MI InfoStore portal - content, development, access control & training Competitive market analysis, intelligence gathering and dissemination (both qualitative and quantitative). Profile The ideal Business Analyst will possess:- A degree of ideally an economic, mathematical or statistical nature and/or previous experience of market and competitive analysis An ability to work confidently and efficiently with large and complex data sets. Strong attention to detail with excellent numeracy skills. Accuracy in delivering work tasks is paramount. Effective analytical skills to interpret and cross-reference multiple sources of information. Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills. An awareness of Cognos BI / Power BI (or similar), as well as Cognos TM1 and CRM software would be desirable. An ability to work proactively and independently to manage role workloads and to deliver to tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of another European language would be advantageous.
