Role – Engineering Assistant role Location – Close to Thetford, Norfolk Working hours – Monday to Thursday 8am – 4.45pm and Friday 8am – 3pm Capacity of role – Temporary to Permanent position Pay Rate – Depending on experience up to £10.76 per hour.Our client who is a leading manufacturer in the local area is currently recruiting for an Engineering Assistant to join their workshop based team. Main duties will include but not limit to – • The preparation of materials, assembly, final finish and packing of our products ensuring quality is maintained. • Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing drawings and understanding of the job file system. • Ability to work to strict deadlines and close attention to detail. • Use of both air/powered hand tools and working with the manufacture of aluminium products. • Adherence to all Health and safety processes and procedures. • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role. • Perform any other relevant tasks deemed necessary by your manager.Candidate Attributes - • A professional approach as well as the ability to work on own initiative. • Maintain consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance. • Good Communication skills within the team. • Knowledge of using CNC machinery desirable, however training will be given the right candidate • Must be able to work as part of a team, but will also be able to work on their own initiative. • Own transport is essential due to location of the premises Skills Required Engineering, Manufacturing, Reading drawings, Health and Safety, Own transport, Overtime , CNC, Communication skills Keywords Engineering, Manufacturing, Reading drawings, Health and Safety, Own transport, Overtime , CNC, Communication skills This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89770042
