Health Protection Advisor Job, Sandwell Borough Council, Competitive Salary, Leading Local Authority Your new company Due to an internal service redesign, we are now looking to recruit a Health Protection Advisor to work with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council on a temporary, on-going basis. Sandwell Council is the largest employer in the borough that help provide a comprehensive range of services across its six towns. They are committed to the provision of high quality services across the borough. Your new role As an experienced Health Protection Advisor, you will join the Council's Public Health team to help with the response to the COVID-19 outbreak across the borough. You will be providing expert advice to the council and our stakeholders on matters including: outbreak management, infection prevention and control, emergency planning, and responding to emerging and re-emerging threats. This will be a pivotal position within the team with a strong focus on the community and those at greatest risk. What you'll need to succeed As an experienced Health Protection Advisor, you will have a Masters in Public Health or equivalent experience. Working within the NHS, Public Health England or local authority public health team would be highly beneficial. Experience of outbreak investigations is essential. A DBS is not required for this role.
