Our client in the Shefford area is a modern 60 bed residential care home that is part of an organisation that promotes the highest standards of care. They now have an exciting opportunity for healthcare assistants and senior care assistants to join their passionate team. Ref No. PK41345 Key details: The home is rated 'GOOD' in all areas in their CQC report and is only 2 years old, providing care in an extremely modern environment and state of the art equipment. Care Assistants Night positions are available paying a great £9.30 per hour. The shifts are 8pm-8am and these are full time, permanent roles. Senior Care Assistant These are again roles on Nights paying £10.77 per hour, amongst the highest in the area. The shifts are 8pm-8am and are full time, permanent roles. Candidates will need to hold Level 3 and be medication trained. We are looking for individuals who have a passion and desire to care for others and work alongside a team of care assistants to promote dignity and independence for all residents within the residential home. Training and support will be provided to care assistants from senior care assistants who have little or no previous experience within a care home. Main duties for care assistants are as follows: Providing personal care such as toileting, washing and dressing Keeping residents comfortable and assisting in manual handling Checking and reporting any change in residents conditions to a senior care assistant Practical Support - Making beds, preparing food & laundry Medical support - Taking temperatures, pulse etc Liaise with visiting family and friends Desirable: Care assistants with previous experience within a care home and NVQ's within health and social care. For the Senior Care Assistant role a minimum of NVQ Level 3 is preferred but candidates with NVQ Level 2 and medication training may be considered.
