Location: North - Manchester/ Newcastle/Scotland As a Medical Science Liaison at IQVIA you will be responsible for the legitimate exchange of medical and scientific information, education and research initiatives with the medical community at a peer to peer level, in addition to providing a scientific service to internal stakeholders. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will be: Responsible for establishing and maintaining the reputation for scientific excellence with Key Opinion Leaders using advanced technical competence and refined interpersonal skills A contact for researchers, investigators and clinicians Providing a scientific service to both external, as well as internal stakeholders Addressing several issues with external stakeholders such as those related to products, disease state, clinical development and unsolicited off-licence product related questions from healthcare professionals. Leading medical and scientific discussions, presentations, data exchange and education Supporting medical information in relation to unsolicited enquiries or comments including questions about the unauthorised use of a medicine Providing an expert resource to the field force and to the relevant Head Office/ Global colleagues Using data to develop logical and innovative approaches to meet both external and internal stakeholders the customer’s needs while achieving Bayer’s scientific objectives As a Medical Science Liaison, you will need: A life Science degree/healthcare qualification, together with a higher research-based qualification such as PhD Relevant therapeutic area/product educational background/experience (strongly preferred) Excellent spoken and written English Full and valid UK driving licence (max of 6 points) Minimum one year’s prior MSL experience, preferably within ophthalmology (UK experience preferred) First hand research experience in the life sciences is strongly preferred, ideally with training/mentoring experience of junior colleagues High quality academic/scientific writing experience e.g. publications in peer-reviewed journals The ability to demonstrate experience of delivering presentations of technical/scientific material to high standards e.g. at international conferences Fully conversant with the requirements of the ABPI code, PMCPA guidance and guidelines on company procedures At IQVIA, your contributions will be rewarded with: Excellent Salary, Bonus & Company Car Life Assurance & Pension Additional Voluntary Benefits available including: Health Insurance (Dental, Health Screen and Optical) Health Clubs and Gym Discounts Give As You Earn Private Health Insurance ?We are an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
