An opportunity is available for a Night Carer to join an organisation well known for providing Therapeutic Residential Care and Education. They help children age 6 to 12 years with SEMH difficulties, with a focus on transitions back to a family setting before the teenage years. Success rates with their primary age children are exceptional, confirming their status as a leading provider of therapeutic care and education. The successful Night Carer will earn a salary of between £19,171 and £21,166 depending on experience. Established in 1995, the company continues with their mission to help support young children (6 to 12 years) who have experienced trauma and whose lives have been severely disrupted, to grow socially and emotionally to learn to cope with school and everyday life. They are helped wherever possible, to return to families and day schools before they reach their teenage years. The company has 3 registered homes with schools on site, located in the Kendal and Grange-over-sands area. As a Night Carer, you will be responsible for providing high quality care to children within the home. Other duties include, but by no means limited to: Ensuring children’s safety and well being is appropriately protected at all times. Developing and maintaining appropriate relationships with children and colleagues. Carry out the role of Night Carer with regard to the Quality Framework. Take ownership of own work activities as delegated by line manager. Liaise with all teams to ensure accurate and efficient communication and teamwork respecting confidentiality at all times. Keep clear professional records and follow reporting procedures. Participate in meetings and team training. Encouraging children to have positive self-perception, a sense of belonging and community, to enable them to be socially responsible. Helping the children build lasting relationships. Encourage children to be able to self-manage their emotions and have fun.
