The opportunity to join as a Senior Accounts Assistant in a uniquely varied role for a well respected business in the local area. This role will involve training however does need someone with a good grounding with the ability to assist across varying sectors of the company. Client Details A reputable brand that is fast growing and looking to bring on a talented individual as a Senior Accounts Assistant for for an immediate start. Being a leader within the Consultancy sector they are currently working on a number of exciting projects and have opportunities for the right candidate to get involved in from day one. Based within Bedford, they are an easy commute for anyone located in Bedford, Milton Keynes, Luton, or the surrounding area with easy access to public transport. Description The Senior Accounts Assistant duties and responsibilities: Take ownership of parts of the Purchase ledger and manage through the full process Processing and raising invoices within a timely manner Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable Tracking Pre-payments on a monthly basis Completing bank reconciliations, including entry of payments and receipts of sales - Monthly Processing journals and assisting with month end procedures Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team Assisting the Financial Controller as a key point of contact for internal queries Ensuring best practice is adhered to managing both internal and legislative compliance Any ad-hoc duties as required by the Line Manager Profile Desired experience and skill set for this Senior Accounts Assistant role: Be immediately or have a relatively short notice period - (1 week maximum) Previous experience in a similar role Part Qualified in either ACCA/CIMA/ACA or AAT Qualified Previous experience of working in a similar commercial fast paced environment Capable of working using own initiative to anticipate and resolve issues Accuracy and excellent attention to detail Highly analytical and numerate Strong Excel skills to include pivot tables and VLOOKUPS Flexible team player Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders Ability to work in a busy environment to strict deadlines Ability to commit to the duration of a contract Job Offer The opportunity to join a prominent organisation within the Consultancy that is financially strong and looking to invest in talent to develop.
