Overview

The Role: This is a newly created role within this business and as such the responsibilities will be flexible as the role grows. Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. auditors, solicitors, customs, bankers and tax organisations. Ensure strict adherence to all legal and professional compliance requirements. In-charge of day to day functioning of the accounting and tax function which includes preparing financial reports and developing financial procedures. Ensuring that all internal controls policies and procedures are current and ensuring compliance with regulatory/corporate guidelines. Monitoring financial reports to guard against losses, performing data analysis and produce accurate reports and projections. Managing risk and supervising cash management. Contribute to an organisation’s bottom lines by staying on top of industry-related regulatory changes, tax requirements and accounting changes. The Person: This role will suit a passionate individual who enjoys being part of the bigger picture. The ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively. Keen to make a mark and create structures, and not scared to ask questions. You may be a qualified Management Accountant who would relish the opportunity to make your mark in a smaller business, or a part qualified Management Accountant keen to continue their studies with the support of this business. The Company: My client is based in Surrey and are a small (but growing fast) Housewares, Homewares, Small Domestic Appliance manufacturer.
