Payroll Control Officer // Preston // £24k Your new company Your new company is an award winning public sector organisation specialising in providing pensions to all those across the UK, with multiple offices, you will be expected to assist with making a positive impact on your new organisation from the Preston Central office. Your new company wants you to progress organically and the broad range of projects you will touch will enhance your skill set entirely. Your new role Your new role is that of a payroll officer, you will be expected to assist with processing monthly pensioner payrolls and ad hoc payments including; scheduling of events, production and resolution of pre-processing reports, running of gross to net routines, reconciliation and payment of the tax by statutory date within the month, completion of month/year end processes inc. HMRC requirements and pensions increase routine. As well as this, you will be expected to assist with numerous other ad hoc payroll duties. What you'll need to succeed You will need minimum 3 years working experience within a similar payroll position, you must be able to competently and without direction control the payroll for your allocation, have a superb understanding of financial ledger systems, proven ability to work effectively to strict monthly timelines, proven ability to undertake detailed mathematical calculations accurately and have an excellent understanding of the ever changing legislation.
