Are you a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated team player with a can-do approach who really cares about the needs of young people? This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children in a 3 bedded EBD residential care setting, providing day to day support, guidance and activities to Children and Young People. The successful candidate will support the aims and objectives of the setting and assist the Registered Manager in the organisation of a high quality establishment for Children and Young people. Deputy Care Manager Duties and Responsibilities:  Providing direct care and support of children and young people, using therapeutic principles and attachment-aware practice  Actively participate in the running and management of the home  Offering advice, direct work and mentoring to individual children & young people, as well as staff members  Assisting with general administration duties  Communicate and liaise effectively with the manager, your co-workers, other professionals, and the young people  Manage the home in the absence of the manager  Ensure that all new staff receive a proper induction to the home  Ensure that each member of staff has a personal develop plan  Ensure that each young person has a plan which reflects his/her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, and therapeutic and health needs  Allocate a Key Worker for each young person with the principal responsibility of implementing the childcare plan  To work in partnership with parents, carers and other professional to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people Deputy Care Manager Minimum Requirements:  Level 3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce  Level 5 Team Leader or Management qualification (Desirable)  Full UK driving license  Experience leading or managing staff in a residential childcare setting  Be flexible and able to undertake shift work including weekends and sleep-ins.  Experience of Ofsted inspections Deputy Care Manager Benefit:  Pension Auto-enrolment  ‘Pay Care Scheme’  ‘Perk Box’  Annual Leave Service Award  Childcare vouchers  Long Service Bonus of £750 given after 5 continuous full time years of employment  NVQ Bonus when complete Level 3 (£500 in total) or Level 5 (£750 in total)  Company pays for DBS as well as reimburses cost for update service each year Closing date: ASAP Contact: Sue at Job Paths 4 U Job Paths 4 U is an Employment Agency and an Employment Business.
