Overview
Nuclear Safety Engineer Epsom £50K Pro Rota Astute Technical Recruitment are looking for a Part Time Nuclear Safety Engineer who is looking to play an effective role in the design of complex new schemes, which will assure the longevity and integrity of existing infrastructure. The Role For this role you will be expected to deliver innovative consultancy advice to core clients, which is critical to the success of the global energy market. This role is working within a nuclear and power business in Epsom, which enables you to be in a unique position of being able to engage with fantastic inspirational projects. This role gives you the opportunity to work across the whole nuclear marker from New Build to Generation to Decommissioning, within the UK and further afield. This role will entail providing safety case advice during the design, operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities and for the production of all nuclear safety documentation as part of the Site Licence Conditions. Topics and techniques you have experience and/or knowledge of may include the following: · Safety Case reports (e.g. PSR, PCSE, LSS, HAZAN, etc) · Hazard/fault identification studies (e.g. HAZOP, FMEA, etc) · Qualitative and quantitative safety arguments · Design Basis Safety Assessment · Probabilistic Safety Assessments · Support to Engineering Substantiation · Nuclear technology technical reports · Fault and protection schedules · Nuclear reactor technologies · Design Authority technical reports The Candidate As the ideal candidate you will hold a University Degree in a relevant subject and a proven record of delivering technically challenging projects. You will have a strong background in safety case production, hazard analysis and be able to produce and review/correct high-quality technical reports. You will be motivated and driven to meet delivery/cost targets without compromising quality and sound commercial acumen. you will also be able to demonstrate good engineering judgement and with extensive experience in using fundamental engineering skills.
