Field Service Engineer - Mechatronics We are looking to recruit an experienced and knowledgeable mechatronics Field Service Engineer to work in a senior field service engineer capacity to fault find, repair, overhaul, service and commission a complete range of high specification electro-mechanical, machine tools. If you have experience gained within this type of engineering, working on complex 3 phase, electro-mechanical machines / Capital equipment then this is a fantastic opportunity with a global Prestigious engineering and machine tool manufacturer. Home based - Ideal location West Midlands / Central UK Dudley, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Northampton, Worcester, Oxford Salary guide: £40K expense account company vehicle pension benefits We are looking to invest in a Field service engineer to cater for our high performance, high speed precision machines located across the UK and some occasional international work. What technical looks like to us? We need a Field Service Engineer with: Excellent hands on abilities working with 3 phase electrical machines / machine tools. Relay logic control, through to electronic control, inverter knowledge, AC/DC A good knowledge of PLC controls and some electronics experience would be perfect. Must have an in-depth knowledge of fault finding, diagnosing and repairing complex electrical problems covering both old and new machine applications and full ability to interpret electrical drawings of all types. An ability to refurbish and convert dated electrical systems and components across to modern PLC and or computer-controlled applications. Ideally some general mechanical capabilities though electrical bias is the strong desire. Preferably educated to at least ONC level or above in electrical engineering or mechatronics. Or indeed proof of successful experience within this sector. Attitude: We are looking to invest a true engineering expert with a can-do attitude towards identifying and rectifying complex electrical and mechanical problems.
