Staff Nurse Location: Preston Service Type: Specialist Care Home for adults with mental health conditions and neuro-disabilities Salary: £16.81 per hour ( £28,845 - £38,461 per annum ) - negotiable depending on your experience Hours : Full Time and Part Time hours are available - you can choose depending on your preference (options of: 22, 33, 38.5 or 44 hours per week) Shifts: Options of Days only (8am - 8pm) or Nights only (8pm - 8am) or Mixed shifts on a rotational basis - you can choose depending on your preference Are you looking for a staff nurse position in Preston? If yes, you've reached the right place An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified preceptorship nurse or experienced registered nurse ( Adult Nurse - RGN, Mental Health Nurse - RMN or Learning Disability Nurse - RNLD ) to work within a very positive, friendly and supportive brand new specialist care home for adults with complex needs in Preston. This beautiful new home has 30 beds in total. They have a very positive and supportive work environment and are building a fantastic new team . This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a brilliant organisation but to also join a new team and a developing service. You will have the opportunity to influence and develop the service and their ways of working. Service Details: The Specialist Care Home is a 30-bedded home split into units. The home cares for complex conditions including: Mental health and Neuro-disabilities. The Service Manager is highly-qualified in various areas of nursing, and is very keen to invest time into the training and development of all staff. There are also plenty of opportunities to undertake additional training courses externally on top of the extensive in-house training. Preceptorship nurses: In the case of newly qualified / preceptorship nurses, the care home offers a fantastic preceptorship programme. They have a good number of experienced staff to support and mentor newly qualified nurses. Training / Induction and opportunities for development and progression: The Care Home offers a structured and thorough one week induction programme, which will include various training courses. You will also have access to clear and structured development programmes where you can see clear pathways to progression within the service. You will also have access to training opportunities to develop and enhance your nursing skills. You will receive ongoing support from your Manager. Shifts: The Manager tries to be as flexible they can with nurses' requirements. They can accommodate part-time or full-time hours and they can be flexible with shifts. They are happy to consider fixed shift patterns and they are happy to consider nurses who prefer working days only or nights only. Shifts are 8am - 8pm for day shifts and 8pm - 8am for night shifts. All nurses will receive a 1-hour unpaid break. Please state if you have any preferences on your hours and/or shift pattern in your application.
