Experimental Physicist - Device Physics - Cambridge An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experimental physicist to join a new team in Cambridge to work on their revolutionary biotechnology device. As an Experimental Physicist, you will take a hands-on approach to a variety of roles including the design and electrical characterisation of devices, including packaging the electronics, performing electrical tests and analysing the data. You will be utilising your physics knowledge to develop new device layouts and testing procedures and will be working alongside engineers and scientists alike, in a multidisciplinary team. The role is open to people from recent PhD graduates through to mid-level experienced physicists. We are looking for physicists who love solving highly complex problems on leading edge technology and who enjoy hands-on R&D. The right candidate should have the following experience; You will have recently graduated with a Ph.D. in experimental physics or a relevant engineering discipline. Familiarity with electrical test equipment e.g. source measure units, benchtop DMMs Experience of scripting electrical tests, using python or similar Experience of scripting data-analysis e.g. curve fitting, using python or similar Experience of packaging electrical devices using manual or semi-automatic wire bonding In exchange for your skills and expertise, the company offer a highly competitive package with a variety of benefits and have world-class labs and workspaces for you to work on and develop cool technology.
