Location: St Helens Team: Early Help Pay: £30 p/h We have an excellent opportunity to work as a Qualified Social Worker (Early Help) with St Helens Council. The successful candidate will be required to complete statutory assessments of parenting capacity, provide high standards of analysis and report writing. This role will also involve complex decision making and direct work with children to ensure comprehensive and coherent assessments. You will need to be a confident communicator, adaptable, have a real can-do approach, you must demonstrate sound professional knowledge particularly with regards to current legislation including that of Safeguarding Children. Your approach will be child-focused, and you will be hard-working, flexible, and a good team player. You will be able to identify risk and use supervision to support your professional development. You will need to be a qualified; Social Work England registered Social Worker. Contribute to a wide range of statutory social work activities and carry out professional social work tasks in accordance with recognised social work procedures, Signs of Safety, evidence-based practice and professional social work ethics. Hold and manage a caseload appropriate to grade and length of experience including Children in Need, Child Protection and Looked after Children as allocated by the Team Manager. Meet the social work needs of children, young people, their families and carers by assessing, arranging, co-ordinating, providing and monitoring plans for children with multi-agency partners to ensure good timely outcomes for children and young people.
