This is an exciting new service due to open in the next coming months. As the Children’s Home Assistant Team Manager, you will be responsible for: • Ensuring children living in the home are safeguarded at all times. • Assist with leading, managing and motivating a team ensuring the service provided is consistent, effective and delivers positive outcomes. • To assist the Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose. • To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager. • To support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people. • To work to a shift system over a seven day working week including weekends, bank holidays and other celebratory occasions and cover sleep in duties. About you To be Assistant Team Manager in our children’s home for AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points: • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or hold an equivalent qualification • Experience of working in a position in the residential care of children. • Substantial experience supervising or managing staff working in a care role. • Good problem solving skills and a structured approach to tasks. • Ability to relate successfully to individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and build productive relationships and network effectively. • Excellent organisational, written, numerical and IT skills.
